Preference Cookies
These allow the website to remember information that changes how the site behaves or looks, such as your preferred language or region.
- theme: Light/dark theme preference, stored in your browser's local storage (kept until you clear it — not a cookie)
- theme-hint-dismissed and ows-refresh-promo-dismissed: Remember that you dismissed the theme hint or our promo card, stored in local storage (kept until you clear it)
- mobile-toc-prefs and mobile-toc-seen: Your reading preferences (font, spacing) and whether you have seen the article reading assistant, stored in local storage (kept until you clear it)
- chunk-guard:last-reload: A short-lived technical value in session storage that prevents reload loops if a page script fails to load; it is deleted when you close the tab
- cookie_consent: Cookie acceptance status (Duration: 1 year)
Analytics
With your consent we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure traffic. It is privacy-friendly and cookieless — it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, and it does not track you across other websites. If you do not consent to analytics, the measurement script is not loaded at all.
Embedded Content
Some pages can embed third-party content that sets its own cookies. These load only after you consent (via the banner) or choose to load them directly:
- Calendly: Our booking calendar on the contact page. Sets Calendly's own cookies when loaded.
- Google Maps: The location map on the contact page. Google sets its own cookies when loaded.
We run no advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking cookies of any kind.

Rejecting is as easy as accepting — both are a single click of equal prominence. Even without global consent, blocked embeds (our booking calendar and map) show a "Load" button so you can choose to load just that item.
